What is a BBL Laser and What do BBL Treatments Do?
BBL is Broadband Light, a controlled frequency of high intensity light that sends heat to the skin. BBL therapy involves the use of BBL laser technology to treat the appearance of redness, discoloration, and other perceived cosmetic issues like uneven or rough skin texture, fine wrinkles, age and sun spots, and small blood vessels.
What is BBL Laser good for?
BBL treats age spots (liver spots), sun damage, redness, broken facial blood vessels/capillaries, wrinkles and dull skin. It may correct these conditions, as well as the effects of rosacea. It can also reduce the appearance of freckles and birthmarks. The treatment can be performed on all body areas, such as the face, neck, chest, arms and hands.

Why BBL vs. other laser treatments?
The 15- to 30-minute noninvasive treatment provides remarkable, long-lasting results. Treatment is especially effective in reducing skin discolorations, fine lines, wrinkles and scars.
BBL therapy has been FDA approved for use in dermatological applications. It’s commonly used cosmetically for applications like removing sunspots, minimizing the appearance of wrinkles and blood vessels, and reducing the evidence of scars from acne or other trauma to the skin. Sciton’s Forever Young BBL is a specific treatment that uses BBL laser therapy to target the signs of aging and sun damage. Forever Young BBL stimulates skin cells to regenerate collagen and elastin, which can help reduce sun damage, age spots, and more.

What makes Dr. Wang’s Laser Treatments special?
Most facilities that offer Laser Treatments are performed by technicians. The doctor may consult with the individual for a few minutes after meeting with technicians to answer questions about your health and concerns, but then move on to other patients and allow the technicians to actually perform the treatment and provide after care instructions.
Unlike other aesthetic practices, Dr. Anita provides complete care – evaluation, assessment, treatment, and after care. This ensures that your laser treatment is in line with your other wellness goals and is an optimal approach for your overall health.
What lasers does Dr. Wang use?
Dr. Anita uses the Sciton BroadBand Light (BBL), the world’s most powerful IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) device on the market. Light energy delivers heat to the upper layers of skin, which stimulate regrowth of the affected skin cells. Those new cells will restore your youthful look with smoother, clearer skin.
